Stephen Andrew Masker is an award winning photojournalist based in Dallas, TX and specializes in general news, political, and concert photography. A May 2011 graduate from the University of North Texas, Stephen earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in both photojournalism and political science.
In college, Stephen was the president and founder of the National Press Photographer's Association student chapter and vice president of the UNT photography club. Stephen also worked as an intern-photographer at the UNT newspaper, The North Texas Daily, which he left in October of 2010 for a photo-internship with The Dallas Observer.
Since graduating from college, Stephen has gone on to complete photo-internships with the Tyler Morning Telegraph, National Geographic photographer Michael Yamashita, Getty Images photojournalist Chip Somodevilla, and freelance photographer Chris Usher.
Stephen currently freelances for various publications with work frequently published in The Dallas Observer.
